Relaxing in steam shower

You probably use your shower every night, maybe just before bed, perhaps right after work, or immediately following a strenuous workout.  Having a daily shower makes you feel clean, which is well and good.  But how often do your showers actually leave you feeling satisfied?  When’s the last time a shower has truly left you refreshed, rejuvenated, and energized?  For most, a shower is simply status quo, something you have to do, almost a chore, for the sake of social acceptance or standard health.

But a shower doesn’t have to be a simple, mandatory task.  A shower can actually be a totally revitalizing experience, something that makes you feel great.  If this sounds like the therapeutic cleansing session of your dreams, consider looking into steam showers today.

Steam showers used to be high-end luxury items, the stuff of day spas and exotic therapy institutions.  But recently, steam showers have found a new niche as affordable but truly worthwhile appliances for your very own home.  More and more homes are having steam showers installed, and many homes currently under construction include steam showers in their initial floor plans.  So, why are steam showers so popular?  Basically, it comes down to their customizability and their vast quantity of benefits.

Perhaps, before we discuss all the benefits of owning such a shower, we should understand how a steam shower works: while they all come with traditional shower heads for a normal rinse, steam showers are also fully equipped with steam jets, linked to a steam converter.  This steam converter redirects water from the showerhead to an internal system that changes water into warm water vapor.  This vapor is then funneled out of the steam jets and into the shower stall.  When you’ve finished relaxing in the steam, you can direct water into the showerhead again to rinse off.

Standing in a shower stall as steam wafts over your body is a healthy process.  Not only does the warmth of the steam promote relaxation, easing tension in your muscles and ligaments, but it also promotes respiratory circulation.  The warm water vapor breaks down mucous build up in your body, especially in your sinuses and throat, so you can breathe easily and fully.  The humidity in a steam shower also helps alleviate the effects of asthma, and has a hand in preventing the onset of future asthmatic attacks.  As your muscles relax and your breathing improves, you’ll also enjoy the benefits of improved blood flow.  Blood will be pumped more efficiently throughout your body, and your blood cells will be able to do their jobs more efficiently (these jobs include the transportation of oxygen and nutrients to other parts of your anatomy).

Steam showers also host a number of cosmetic benefits, as well.  The heat of the water vapor helps open your pores, which will clean them of inflammatory dirt and other nasty agents.  This also promotes the flow of toxins out of your skin, which will tighten and revitalize skin cells for a younger and decidedly healthier appearance.  Of course, the humidity also moisturizes your skin, which rejuvenates it further with a healthy shine.  Essentially, taking a steam shower provides you with all the benefits of a home-beauty kit.  The difference is that your shower will be around every day for many years of pure luxury.  Your home beauty kit won’t last nearly that long, nor will you get as much satisfaction out of it.

Imagine coming home from a long day.  Now imagine taking a nice steam shower, revitalizing your body, refreshing you, giving you newfound energy.  Imagine all that you can accomplish at home with this energy!  No more evenings of lazing about in front of the television.  With daily steam showers, you can work all day long and still have the energy to get things done at home.

Bathroom showers come in a large variety of different designs and styles, as well as shapes and sizes.  No matter what your current bathroom looks like, or how you want your new bathroom to look, there is a steam shower for your specific needs and preferences!  Many even come with cool additional features, like steam-proof mirrors or MP3/CD players so you can listen to your favorite music as you relax and pamper yourself.  Steam temperature is usually controllable, independent of the water temperature from the showerhead.  Some even come with mood lighting, while still others feature a remote control to give you complete command of lights, music, and steam without having to stand up.

It is true that steam has been used for centuries to cure all types of illness. Lets face it, the body’s own response to a cold or flu is to cause an increase in the body’s temperature.

Steam showers are now cheap enough to have in your home. No longer do you need to go to the gym to take advantage of your steam shower.

A superb article, keep up the good work.
